D.I.Y Solar Cell Phone Charger

D.I.Y solar cell phone charger is fun project that you need to try. It will give a satisfaction to yourself because you have your own solar cell phone charger made by your hand. Here, shows the 5 stages handmade of solar cell phone charger:

Level of Difficulty: Easy

STAGE ONE:

Prepare the major stuffs for solar cell phone charger like plug in charger (fit with your phone or other mobile products like iPod, mp4, mp3 etc), solar cell, empty tin (rectangular or box shape for the solar cell), solder, electrical tape, double sided tape and voltage meter.

Note: Be sure you already have knowledge to use the voltage meter or you will suffer when your phone blown at the end of this project.

STAGE TWO:
Check the polarity of solar cell with voltage meter then marked the positive and negative terminal of the solar charger. After that check the polarity of the plug in charger by voltage meter then cut half of the wire after marked the positive and negative terminal.

STAGE THREE:
Join the terminal positive of solar cell to the terminal positive of plug in charger wire (+ve to +ve) with soldering iron.

STAGE FOUR:
Preparing the case of solar cell phone charger with taped inside the tin before place the solar cell to protect from electric short between the tin and solar cell. Put and stick with appropriate glue (or strong double sided tape) the soldered solar cell with the wire on the place that taped. The exposed wires also taped to prevent from the shorts.


STAGE FIVE: Testing process and the solar cell phone charger ready to use
